Schools that prohibit children from bringing their own lunch?

Some schools prohibit children from bringing their own lunches…. unless they have a medical excuse. They are required to eat the cafeteria food.

Here are some articles about some schools that follow that policy and why it is so wrong.

The real problem: “Any school that bans homemade lunches also puts more money in the pockets of the district’s food provider… The federal government pays the district for each free or reduced-price lunch taken, and the caterer receives a set fee from the district per lunch.”
